In February 2014, I accompanied a team of dentists, dental hygienists and dental assistants on a one week mission to villages in the Amazon Basin of Ecuador with the NGO Kindness In Action. The dental team was led by Dr. Kevin Davis, of Davis Orthodontics, and provided care to elementary school children within 1-2 hours drive of the city of Chaco.
